ACE retrieves 680 kanals, takes action against officials.

SAHIWAL -- The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has retrieved 680 state kanals in Dipalpur.

The land worth Rs161.11 million was grabbed in village 3/D, Dipalpur, one decade ago.

ACE sources told Dawn that on a villager's compliant, the land was taken back from Waqar Ali in an operation conducted with police and revenue officials.

On another complaint, Patwari Adnan Shaheen, of Arifwala, was booked for taking Rs640,000 bribe from Mushtaq Ahmed, of Chak 20-KB, for getting transferred 12 inherited acres to his name.
