ACE books PML-N senator, arrests son.

DERA GHAZI KHAN -- The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) police on Friday sealed a plaza, a hotel and some other commercial properties and registered a case against the owner, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senator Dr Hafiz Abdul Karim, arresting his son, who is the party's youth wing Punjab senior vice president.

Senator's son Osama Abdul Kareem was arrested after registration of a case (No 22/9) under section 409/420 PCA-05-2-47 against five persons, including three corporation officers, on the charge of non-payment of commercial properties fees and allegedly submitting less fee.

PML-N senator Kareem and corporation officers Khurshid Naseer, Ghulam Shabbir and Asghar Ali have also been nominated in the case. According to sources, the plaza was also sealed six months ago for non-payment of the fee, after which Mr Kareem filed a writ in the high court, obtaining a stay order and submitted Rs1 million fee.
