Accountability court fixes June 1 to pass orders in Fazaia Housing case.

KARACHI -- An accountability court on Thursday fixed June 1 to pass orders in an alleged Rs18 billion scam of the Fazaia Housing Scheme launched by private builders as a joint venture with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in 2015.

Suspects Tanvir Ahmed and Bilal Tanvir of the M/s Maxim Properties had been arrested on charges of cheating the public in the name of the Fazaia Housing Scheme.

On Thursday, when the matter came up before the administrative judge Abdul Ghani Soomro, the investigating officer Pervaiz Abro filed a progress report.

He mentioned that during hearing of identical petitions the counsel for the builders and the PAF had informed the Sindh High Court on May 15 that both the parties had reached a settlement agreement whereby the allotees will be refunded all the money paid by them in respect of their plots and settlement of all other liabilities related to the project under the supervision of the NAB.
