Accident on Hazara Expressway claims three lives.

HARIPUR -- A woman and two children were killed and 11 others sustained critical injuries when two passenger vans collided on the Hazara Expressway in the Battle area of Mansehra district on Saturday.

Amir Khadam, a Rescue 1122 official, told reporters that the deceased and the injured had been shifted to hospitals.

He said the wagon was on way to Battagram from Mansehra, adding it collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle while overtaking a truck.

'We shifted the injured to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, wherefrom three of them in critical condition, were referred to the Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad,' Mr Khadam said.

He said Nagina Bibi and a four-month child, Gul Mohammad, died instantly, while another child, whose identity could not be established, died on way to hospital.

Meanwhile, six boys were injured in two road accidents in Haripur city on Saturday, rescue and police officials said.
