Absence of IOs in cases against 'IS-inspired militants' irks ATC.

KARACHI -- Expressing its extreme displeasure over their failure in producing witnesses against two suspected militants, an antiterrorism court has summoned two investigating officers of as many cases pertaining to a bomb blast and a policeman's murder.

Suspects Saad Aziz alias Tin Tin and Tahir Hussain Minhas alias Saeen - said to be inspired by the militant Islamic State group - have been charged with allegedly killing a K-Electric officer in a bomb blast in Hyderi Market and the murder of a policeman.

The judge summoned the supervisory IO along with prosecution witnesses in a case pertaining to killing of a KE deputy managing director in a bomb blast.
