Abidi indicted in contempt of court case.

ISLAMABAD -- Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Monday indicted the former Senator Faisal Raza Abidi in a case regarding using inappropriate and derogatory language in an interview over a web TV against the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar.

ATC judge Shahrukh Arjumand resumed the hearing of the case whereas charges were framed during the hearing.

The defense counsel pleaded the court that Abidi was not guilty of the charges leveled against him in the court. His client was a patient, needed treatment and urged for shifting from Jail to a good hospital which was his fundamental right, he added.

The court ordered for medical checkup of Abidi after which the decision would be taken for his shifting from jail to the hospital.
