Abid Ali dedicates record-making century to his daughter.

Right-handed opening batsman Abid Ali named his record-making Test century against Sri Lanka in a home Test to his daughter and the entire family.

Abid shook the record books on Day 5 of the historic opening Test in Rawalpindi when he struck a magnificent hundred to mark his name as the only batter to date to score a century on ODI and Test debut.

While conversating in a post-match talk, Abid thanked god for such an achievement and dedicated this to his daughter. 'My this hundred is for my daughter and the entire family. The well-wishers and all the supporters, thank you so much for being there for me,' he said.

Abid thanked the fantastic crowd at Pindi Stadium who came to cheer the return of international red-ball cricket to Pakistan despite rain ruined the entire contest. 'I would like to thank each and every person who came in the stadium to make this event successful though rain frustrated the entire game,' he maintained.
