9 unknown booked for looted cash from security company van.

HYDERABAD -- The Hyderabad police have booked 9 unknown suspects in the FIR of the robbery of Rs152.9 million cash, weapons and mobile phones from a cash delivery vehicle on Thursday.

According to the FIR, 5 persons who came in a car bearing registration number BLU-418 and 4 others who followed them on motorbikes looted the cash at gunpoint from the security van in which a driver, a supervisor, 2 guards and a mechanic were travelling.

They took away Rs5,000 currency notes amounting to Rs60 million, Rs1,000 notes totalling Rs62.8 million, Rs500 notes totalling Rs30.01 million, 2 mobile phones, 2 repeater guns and 2 pistols.

The FIR's complainant Javed Iqbal Rajput, who is the zonal in charge of the security company, stated quoting the staff that the robbers escaped towards Matiari district.

According to him, he received a call from an officer of the company from Karachi who narrated the incident of the robbery and asked him to pursue the matter.
