84 teams qualify for semi-final rounds of spelling bee.

LAHORE -- Seven out of 84 school teams for the age groups 9-11 have qualified for the semi-final rounds of the 15th DAWN In Education Spelling Bee Competition.

Eighty-four schools from Lahore, Sialkot, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Okara, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Kasur, Mianwali, Muridke, Daska, Narowal, Kharian, Chunian, Wazirabad and Sheikhupura are participating in the round being held at the Beaconhouse Newlands Auditorium, Lahore.

The schools whose teams qualified for the semi-final round for the age groups 9-11 include Sisa Girls Campus, Sarfraz Rafqui Road, Lahore Cantt, Garrison Academy for Boys, Tufail Road, Lahore Cantt, DHA School System, Jr. Campus, Z-Block Phase III, DHA Lahore, DHA Education System Senior Girls, Phase V, DHA, Lahore, Learning Alliance, DHA Campus, 32/1, J-Block, Phase VIII, DHA Lahore and Aitchison College, Junior School, The Mall Road, Lahore.

The competition is going to be conducted in three age groups. The Lahore quarter-final rounds for the age groups 12-14 and 15-17 would continue till Nov 8.

The Lahore winners will compete with the Multan and Faisalabad quarter-final winners in the semi-finals which will be held on Nov 9.
