80 SUP men booked for humiliating election staff.

DADU -- Sindh United Party (SUP) senior vice president Roshan Ali Buriro and 79 other party activists and supporters were booked at the Sehwan police station on Saturday for allegedly humiliating staff of the area's assistant commissioner.

An FIR against them was lodged by a naib qasid, Abdul Hameed Jahejo, who stated that Buriro along with 70 other people broke into the AC's office and subjected him and other staff, busy working on local government election-related documents, to harassment and humiliation.

He named some of the intruders, besides Roshan Ali Buriro, as Ghulam Shabbir Buriro, Asgar Shahani, Ali Asgar Channa, Asgar Solangi, Akbar Memon and Sodho Khan. The others, he said, were unknown people.

The complainant further stated that the intruders created a law and order situation in the office and disturbed the staff in the discharge of their duty.

Later, a court granted pre-arrest bail to Roshan Buriro and 19 others in a sum of Rs50,000 each.

Reacting to the action against party leader and workers, SUP held protest demonstrations in Dadu, Johi, Bhan Syedabad and Sehwan towns.
