755 more test positive for coronavirus.

PESHAWAR -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 755 new Covid-19 cases, the highest number of new patients in a single day since the onset of pandemic, bringing the total count of patients in the province to 23,388.

The province also saw death of 12 more people during the last 24 hours, raising the number of causalities due to the pandemic to 855, according to health department report released here on Tuesday.

Four people passed away of coronavirus in Peshawar, three in Swat, two in Nowshera and one each in Mansehra, Hangu and Karak.

The report said that 2,516 patients also recovered from the ailment, making the number of province-wide healed patients 9,385 so far.

The number of deaths due to Covid-19 reached 417 in Peshawar, followed by Swat with 83 fatalities and Mardan with 46.

The number of confirmed cases in Peshawar reached 8,105 with detection of 277 new patients while number of patients in Swat reached 2,265 with 76 new patients.

Mardan reported 24 new patients where total count went up to 986. The district has also seen death of 46 persons from the virus so far.
