716 projects to be completed this fiscal year: MPA.

TAXILA -- As many as 716 development projects related to education, roads, infrastructure and provision of basic civic facilities will be completed in Taxila during the current fiscal year with an allocation of Rs4,445 million, MPA Ammar Sadeeq Khan said on Sunday.

He was talking to media at the PTI local secretariat. He was accompanied by the local leadership from Taxila and Wah.

Mr Khan said five projects of the education sector will be completed with an allocation of Rs17.6 million including upgradation of boys and girls' schools besides establishment of a girls' school and construction of a college.

Around 88 schemes will be completed with an allocation of Rs134 million, he said, adding that these projects include making pavements on streets, upgradation and improvement of drainage and sewerage system and provision of missing facilities while 34 projects with an allocation of Rs60 million will be completed through the revenue grant of Tehsil Council Taxila.

He said residents will be provided basic civic facilities under this program including construction of streets, laying drainage and sewerage lines as well as infrastructure development, adding, three water supply projects with an allocation of Rs300,000 will also be completed in various rural and urban areas of the tehsil.
