7 armed persons kill man in Chontra.

RAWALPINDI -- In what police described as a 'revenge killing' incident, seven armed men stormed into a petrol agency in Miyal Village of Chontra and shot dead a man after failing to find his brother-in-law Rabnawas alias Rabbu, their real target, officials said on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Arif, whose body was moved to DHQ Hospital for post-mortem, they said.

They said that the incident was related to a bloody feud among the two families, where Rabnawaz along with his son and other armed men had allegedly killed nine persons including three children in July 2020.

The police said that the incident took place Miyal Village of Chontra and the victims were identified as Azhar, Ghulam Abbas, Malik Nazar Abbas, Malik Irfan, Muhammad Irshad, Malik Nafees and Muhammad Imran, against whom a murder case has been registered with Police Station Chontra on complaint of Muhammad Banaras, the brother of deceased.
