60-bed unit inaugurated at Chandka hospital.

LARKANA -- Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) vice chancellor Prof Dr Nusrat Shah on Monday inaugurated the recently built 60-bed paediatric unit-3 of the Chandka Medical College (CMC) Children Hospital.

Associate Prof Dr Dili Jan has already been appointed as the in-charge of the unit.

Prof Dr Shanti Lal, head of the children hospital, in a briefing to the VC, said this tertiary hospital would meet the treatment demands of people from upper Sindh and parts of Balochistan and Punjab. He said that the per month OPD at this hospital exceeded 40,000 patients where people were being provided medicines and other health care facilities.
