60,000 govt employees to take part in Punjab census, says additional chief secretary.

BAHAWALPUR -- As many as 60,000 government employees, including 46,000 enumerators will take part in the 7th population census in Punjab, said Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Saqib Zafar, presiding over a meeting here on Saturday.

The ACS said the census across south Punjab would start from Jan 15.

He said the citizens, by downloading a portal, would be able to upload their data by Jan 30.

He said the census teams would launch a door-to-door campaign by Feb 1 and would complete the survey from March 15 to April 15, while the results of the census could be submitted with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) by April 30.
