6 persons killed, 12 injured in firing incidents.

Rawalpindi -- As many as six persons were killed and 12 other injured over property and monetary issues in different localities of the district in last 48 hours, informed sources on Friday.

Police shifted the bodies to morgues and shifted the injured persons to hospitals. Police registered separate cases and started investigation.

According to details, an intense gun battle broke out between two parties over land dispute in Dhoke Rajpoot of Samoot area in Kallar Syedan leaving four persons including two women dead and nine others injured.

SSP Investigation Muhammad Faisal Kamran, SSP Operations Shohaib, SP Saddar Division Zia Uddin Ahmed, following orders of CPO Muhammad Ahsan Younas, rushed to the crime scene and collected evidences besides reordering statements of eyewitnesses.

The bodies of four persons and the 9 nine injured were moved to hospitals with help of Rescue 1122. Those who had died were identified as Ansar Iqbal (62), Zarin Iqbal (60), Raqeeb Unisa (60) and Safoora Begum (55). Whereas, Zumurad Iqbal, Wasiq Ansar, Mazhar Ali, Wasim, Hussain, Rafeezun, Zaib Un Nisa, Mehboob Khan and Ghazanfar were among injured, they said.

A police officer told media that a land dispute was going on between some family members since long. He said one party attempted to build a wall on the disputed land on which an armed clash took place between two parties that left four persons dead and nine others injured.

He said investigators are busy in investigation and FIR would be registered after tabling of complaint by the victim parties.

Similarly, another man was shot dead in limits of Police Station Kallar Syedan. Police arrested the alleged killer and shifted him to police station.

According to details, a brawl occurred between Javed and Muhammad Ayub over a marriage proposal at Chakra. Javed shot dead Muhammad and fled from the scene, they said adding that PS Naseerabad SHO SI Kamran Jamshed Kiani held the killer during a raid in Noon village.

Earlier, the dead body was moved to DHQ Hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered against the killer while further investigation was on.

In yet another incident, an armed clash took place between two persons Asif Jadoon and Salawar Khan over land dispute in area of PS Ratta Amral. Two persons namely Mehtab and Raja Zaki sustained injuries. Police rushed to the scene and started investigation, sources said.
