499,040 applications for Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme digitized : NADRA.

ISLAMABAD -- National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has processed digitization of 499,040 applications for Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, launched to provide affordable housing facility to Pakistani citizens.

There is a shortfall of over 10 million houses in the country and every year the backlog is increasing.

The present government, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan intends to promote access to housing to people of Pakistan and jumpstart the housing sector, has launched the Scheme and NADRA was assigned the task of digitizing the forms.

The Authority has successfully completed first phase of pilot project. A data issued by Interior Division has highlighted achievements (August 18, 2018 to March 10, 2019)

of NADRA about its operational projects and other services revealed that 36,875 applications of Arms Licenses for Ministry of Interior have also been processed, 96,028 applications were processed for Punjab Arms Licenses project and

12,102 applications processed (Ban imposed after December 31 till further order) for Sindh Arms License Project (Revalidation).

The other operational projects included Excise and Taxation, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) for which 60,359 applications...
