4 illegal oil extracting units unearthed, sealed in Hassanabdal.

ATTOCK -- Teams from the local administration, Punjab Food Authority (PFA), and Punjab Environment Protection Agency (EPA) on Tuesday unearthed four illegal oil and fat rendering units in the densely populated area of Hassanabdal.

The units were subsequently sealed and the owners arrested and booked under the Punjab Food Authority Act 2011.

The team, led by Assistant Commissioner Dr. Sana Ramchand, raided the units in Tahirkhali town, Dhoke Miskeen, Meharabad, and Bafaud road. Two units were found operating in junkyards while the other two were operating in residential units. A huge quantity of oil was also recovered during the operation.
