34th National Games: Huzaifa causes upset to meet Aqeel Khan in tennis final.

ISLAMABAD -- Unseeded Huzaifa Abdul Rehman of Pakistan Army caused a major upset on Sunday when he eliminated second seed Muhammad Shoaib of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to move to the final of the Men's Singles tennis event of the 34th National Games at the PTF Complex Islamabad.

The 21-year, Huzaifa produced an almost faultless performance to shock his opponent 6-2, 6-0. In the final, he will face Pakistan No.1, Aqeel Khan of Pakistan Wapda, who in the other semifinal beat Yousaf Khalil of PAF 6-2, Retd. Yousaf retired after losing the first set, due to pain in his elbow and illness.

In the first Women's Singles semifinals, top-seed Sarah Ibrahim Khan of Wapda saw off Punjab's Labika Iqbal 6-0.6-0, whereas in the second semifinal, Ushna Wapda's Ushna Suhail toppled Army's Amna Ali Qayum 6-4,6-0. The finals will be held on Monday.

In the Men's Doubles finals, the pair of Huzaifa Abdul Rehman and Abdullah made history when they claimed first-ever gold medal for Pakistan Army in tennis, beating Muhammad Shoaib and Yousaf Khalil of PAF 6-4,6-0.
