33 more patients died of coronavirus disease in Sindh: Murad.

KARACHI -- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Tuesday that 2,287 more persons had been tested positive for coronavirus and 33 virus patients had died across Sindh province, raising the disease death toll to 886.

This he said in a statement issued from CM House today. The chief minister said said that 1, 1819 samples were tested against which 2,287 new coronavirus cases were detected that constituted a 20 percent ratio. The statement said that 3, 19231 tests had been conducted so far which diagnosed 5, 7868 cases as positive all over Sindh.

The chief minister said that 33 more patients died overnight, lifting the death toll to 886 that constituted 1.5 percent death rate. The CM said 2,7737 patients were under treatment, of them 2,6170 were at home isolation, 69 at isolation centers and 1498 at different hospitals. He disclosed that 633 patients were in critical condition, of them, 109 had been shifted on ventilators.

According to Shah, 1,230 patients have recovered and returned to normal life. The number of patients recovered so far had reached 29,245 that constitutes a 50 percent recovery rate. 'It [recovery rate] had dropped down a few days back to 48 and now it has started improving...
