31 development projects for Azad Kashmir approved.

MUZAFFARABAD -- The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Development Working Party (AJK-DWP) on Friday considered and approved as many as 31 development projects of public welfare at an estimated cost of Rs15.9 billion.

The 4th meeting of AJK-DWP was held here under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary, Development Dr Syed Asif Hussain.

Representatives of federal government, secretaries of the respective line departments and officials of planning and development department attended the meeting.

The approved projects included livestock semen production centre in Jatlan Mirpur, restoration of wildlife park at Patikka, Muzaffarabad, provision of basic amenities in Athmuqam, district headquarters of Neelum, POL quality control laboratory in Mirpur and feasibility study on Special Economic Zone, Mirpur.
