30 million families to get health cards by February 2019: Minister.

ISLAMABAD -- Minister for National Health Services Aamir Mehmood Kiani on Tuesday said all resources would be utilised for the improvement of health sector.

Inaugurating newly installed CT Scan Machine at National Institute of Rehabilitative Medicine in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said budget of the health sector would be increased to provide better facilities to the people of Pakistan.

The minister said 30 million deserving people will be issued health cards by February next year.

Aamir Kiani said the government was committed to provide modern facilities to disabled people.

He said further improvements would be introduced in the fields of therapy and speech therapy.

Earlier in September, the government had decided to extend its Insaf Health card scheme to other provinces and allocate an amount for this purpose in supplementary budget.
