2 citizens including expatriate deprived of cash by dacoits.

A gang of swindlers have deprived an expatriate from foreign currency while an armed dacoit snatched cash from the owner of a private company in two different localities of the district, informed sources on Saturday.

Police have registered separate cases against accused and started investigation with no arrest or recovery so far, they said.

According to details, a citizen namely Dr Usman Shaukat lodged a complaint with Police Station Morgah stating he along with his brother Salman Shaukat was returning home in a car from New Islamabad International Airport after picking their third brother Pervaiz Iqbal who arrived from Italy.

He added as they reached near Gold Club on GT Road, another grey coloured car intercepted them.

Unknown men stepped down from the car and one of them approached us and asked us to show up documents while impersonating him as personnel of law enforcement agency. He added that his brother Salman who is in patrolling police produced his CNIC and in the meanwhile the swindler attacked Pervaiz Iqbal, who is settled in Italy, and snatched his bag containing 2,800 Euros, Italian work permit and resident card and fled from the scene.

The applicant appealed the police to register a case against the swindler.
