ISLAMABAD -- The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered 2,361 new companies in October.

This shows an increase of 17 per cent as compared to the corresponding period last year. The total number of registered companies now stands at 180,996.

Foreign investment has been reported in 77 new companies. These companies have foreign investors from Afghanistan, Austria, Australia, Bangladesh, China, Denmark, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Korea South, Lebanon, Lithuania, Norway, Saudi Arabia...
