2,115 new virus cases detected, 20 more patients died: CM.

KARACHI -- As many as 2,115 new coronavirus cases emerged when 10,212 samples were tested while 30 more patients died, lifting the death toll to 916 across Sindh province.

This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday in a statement issued here from CM House.

According to the statement, 10,212 tests were conducted against which 2,115 new cases emerged that showed 21 positive result. So far, 329,443 tests have been conducted which diagnosed 59,983 cases allover Sindh that constituted 18.2 percent.

The chief minister said that 30 more patients died overnight, lifting the death toll to 916. 'This shows 1.5 percent death rate,' he said.

At present, 2,9374 patients were under treatment, of them 27,824 were at home isolation, 76 at isolation centers and 1,483 in different hospitals. Shah said that 626 patients were in critical condition, of them 94 had been shifted on ventilators.
