198 PTI workers arrested in Islamabad for attacking police, vandalism.

ISLAMABAD -- Islamabad police have arrested as many as 198 workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for attacking police and vandalising public property, according to a report on Monday.

Raids for further arrests are underway. The suspects are being ascertained with the help of CCTV cameras. Islamabad police had registered cases at Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and Golra police stations over violent incidents by the PTI workers.

At least 58 police officials were injured due to stone pelting and vandalism by the PTI workers during protests. Four vehicles and 25 motorcycles of police were burnt while nine police vehicles were vandalised. 'All the miscreants involved in the violent acts will be brought to justice,' the police vowed.
