16 booked for attacking women.

OKARA -- Gogera police on Thursday registered a case against 16 people, including nine nominated, on charges of attacking and injuring three women over a litigation row at Fatehpur village.

Complainant Kausur Parveen said she had litigation with the Allah Rakha group and cases were in progress in different courts. She said the other day she was at police station to pursue a case when 16 suspects armed with clubs allegedly trespassed on her house at Fatehpur on Okara-Faisalabad Road and beat up her daughter Shazia and nieces Saadia and Rimsha, leaving them injured.

Some locals rushed to the spot and rescued them.

The medico-legal certificates were issued by the local hospital and a case under sections 354, 447, 511, 337 11(2), 337L(2), 337F(1), 148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered.
