14 persons killed, several others injured in different road accidents in country.

NEELUM VALLEY/BALAKOT/GWADAR/FAISALABAD -- At least 14 persons were killed and several others were injured in different road accidents in different areas of the country on Sunday.

Four people were killed and 13 others sustained injuries when a passenger van plunged into a ditch in Neelum Valley area of Azad Kashmir. The killed persons include Muhammad Siddique, Fida Muhammad, Saddique Yasin and Nagina Bibi.

According to details, the unfortunate vehicle fell into the Neelum River due to brake failure. As soon as the accident was reported, locals and Pakistan Army personnel rushed to the spot and removed the bodies from the vehicle and transferred them to the Kel area of the valley.

Four passengers died on the spot while 13 injured including five in critical condition were shifted to Kel Hospital. According to reports, one person is missing and the search operation is underway.

Meanwhile four youth were killed when their vehicle while taking a turn fell into Kanhar River in near Paras area of Balakot on Sunday. All the four youth were killed on the spot. The youth were going back to their home when their vehicle fell into the river while taking a turn.
