12-day remand for Wazirabad shooter.

LAHORE -- An anti-terrorism court in Gujranwala on Thursday granted the police 12-day remand of the only under-custody suspect in the assassination attempt on PTI chief Imran Khan in Wazirabad. A JIT of police produced the suspect, Muhammad Naveed, before the court amid strict security arrangements.

The team, assisted by a deputy district public prosecutor, sought a 30-day physical remand of the suspect, saying this was required to discover the facts of the case and complete the probe. The prosecutor said the suspect opened fire on ex-PM and other PTI leaders when the party's long march was passing through Wazirabad, injuring Mr Khan and 14 others and killing a worker. He...
