105kg drugs seized in Swabi.

SWABI -- Officials of the excise intelligence (EIB-4) foiled an attempt to smuggle 105 kilogrammes of drugs to Punjab here on Friday.

After a tip-off that drugs would be smuggled to Punjab in a car from the tribal region via Swabi-Jehangira road, the EIB officials increased patrolling and checking of vehicles.

They stopped a suspected car (LE-4079) and during search recovered 64kg

charas and 41kg opium from its different sections.

The contrabands were put in small bags and skillfully sealed in different sections of the car.

The EIB team also arrested Ihsan Nazir and Aqib Ali, who belonged to Lahore and Sahiwal, respectively.
