10,000 beds made available for COVID-19 patients in Punjab: Yasmin Rashid.

LAHORE -- Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has told that around 10,000 beds have been made available for the treatment of Covid-19 patients in the province.

Addressing a press conference, the minister said that 2,000 additional beds will also be acquired very soon. 197 public sector ventilators along with 104 from private sector have been arranged for coronavirus sufferers, she added.

On the other hand, Pakistan has confirmed 81 deaths by novel coronavirus in one day as the number of positive cases has surged to 139,230. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 2,652.
