1,414 new COVID cases detected, 37 more patients died: Murad.

KARACHI -- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Wednesday that another 1,414 coronavirus cases were detected by testing 7,400 samples while 37 more patients died of the virus in Sindh province, lifting the province-wide death toll from the deadly virus to 1,161.

According to a statement issued here on Wednesday from the CM House, 7,400 more tests were conducted which detected 1,414 cases constituting 19.2 percent the detection rate. So far, 402,687 samples have been tested which diagnosed 74070 cases allover Sindh.

The statement says 37 more patients lost their lives while struggling against the virus, and now the death toll has reached 1,161 which comes to 1.5 percent death rate. Overnight 1,028 more patients recovered and the number of patients recovered so far has reached 39429 which constitutes 53.5 percent recovery rate.

At present, 3,3480 patients are under treatment, of them 3,1974 are at home isolation, 49 at isolation centers and 1457 at different hospitals. The figures collected from different...
