1,098 new COVID cases detected, 17 more patients died in Sindh: Murad.

KARACHI -- As many as 1098 cases were detected by conducting 6458 tests while 17 more patients died lifting the tally of the cases to 75168 and death toll to 1178.

This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here from CM on Thursday. Shah said that 6,458 samples were tested which diagnosed 1,098 cases that constituted 17 percent result. So far, 409,145 tests had been conducted which detected 75168 cases all over Sindh, he said and added the overall detection rate came to 18.3 percent.

The CM said that 17 more patients died while struggling against the coronavirus. The death toll stemming from the coronavirus has reached 1,178 that constituted 1.5 percent, he said.

According to Shah, at present, 33,131 patients are under treatment, of them 31,665 are in home isolation, 78 at isolation centers and 1,388 at different hospitals. At present, 641 patients are in critical condition while 99 have...
